Can't sit still? Don't wiggle, Viggle!

A little over a year ago I heard on the Ellen Degeneres show about a new app called Viggle where you get rewarded for "checking in" while watching tv and listening to music. I decided to check it out and I have been Viggling ever since. Now while I won't say that I love the app, I do like it a lot and it is worth the time put into it. However I won't give a referral for this app because this is a strictly invite through facebook or email app to get credit or go right to the source in your app or play store.

So here's my review of this good, rewarding app:

PRO 1: Rewarded for watching tv or listening to music - Who doesn't watch tv? Who doesn't listen to music? Since you're already doing these things you might as well check in to the app and get credit for doing them!

PRO 2: Several rewards to choose from - Had I been doing these reviews when I first discovered this app a year ago I would not put this in the pros because a year ago there were mostly only Viggle merchendise and a few coupons available. Now there are several things to choose from in the rewards section, 1 of my favorites is the free redbox movie.

PRO 3: Free to download and use - As you probably have seen from my other reviews I'm a big fan of free to use sites so this app is right up my alley. I hate the idea of having to pay to get something that is supposed to be "free".

PRO 4: App for Android or Apple - This is a good pro because even though I'm a Mac person when it comes to computers. I'm an Android person when it comes to phones. So on my Android phone I can have my Viggle app and as well as my Apple iPad.

PRO 5: Bonuses for inviting friends - Viggle will give you a bonus if you invite your friends, but only if you invite them through facebook or directly through email.

Now on to the cons, because even the best sites have some cons:

CON 1: Takes a long time to get rewards - For checking into tv shows you get 1 point per minute watched plus a bonus if it happens to be a featured show. For music it is 25 points per song with a cap of 20 songs per day. Depending on the reward it can take a long time to get enough points to get to that goal. That is 1 reason I like the redbox movies, they start at 4,000 points so I can get 1 a week easily.

CON 2: Music matches are limited to 1 time only - This is a con as a radio listener because sometimes I hear the same song 2 or 3 times a day. With the music part of the app I can only get points from listening to the song the 1st time I check into the song. Never again. That is the 1st time ever, not just the 1st time today. Once I've checked into the song I can't get credit for listening to it again. So for a radio listener I have to flip the stations a lot sometimes to find a song that I haven't checked into before.

So there is my review of the Viggle app. I like the app a lot. I don't love it, but I like it. I hope you all download it and enjoy it!

Wanna shop for free? Why not use points2shop?!

Welcome back readers! This weeks's review is of a favorite site of mine called points2shop.

It's a good one so I'll share a referral code here and then again later: http://www.points2shop.com/?ref=allpeachkitty ;

So here's my review:

PRO 1: 250 bonus points just to sign up - I love when I get rewarded just for joining a site! What I love even more is when the signup bonus is enough to request a prize right away! That's what you will find on p2s. When you sign up you get 250 points for joining and that is enough to request a reward which they will use to verify your address. They want to make sure that the people who sign up are real live people, since a lot of times people will try and pull a fast one on a business that sends out free rewards!

PRO 2: Membership is free - Of course this is a pro in my book. Why do I want to pay money to make money? I don't, so instead I look for free sites that will pay me! This is one of them!

PRO 3: Points are given to use on amazon - When you complete offers you get points, these points are able to be used to buy anything on amazon that you could think of. The points system is also very easy to understand. 100 points is equal to $1.00 on amazon. So essentially points are worth $0.01 a piece. Not bad since I've seen some sites where the points are not worth nearly as much!

PRO 4: Points are given for many different things - There are points for downloading and running apps on a smartphone, and there are points for playing games, and there are points for printing and redeeming coupons and the list just goes on and on. Actually you may find that some of the offers are also on swagbucks. This can make it a little difficult to choose which site to use. I always weigh the value of the points I'm getting and see who will give me more for the same offer. Many times I find it is p2s and so I do the offer through them. But it is always up to you to decide. Just remember that many offers can only be completed once per person, no matter how many sites you come to them through.

PRO 5: They have an app for that - There is a p2s app that you will get points to download and then there are points that are exclusive to the app! Many of these points are from downloading and trying out a game. I made my first $10 giftcard just from the points I accumulated on my cell phone in the matter of a few hours! It really is a great feature!

PRO 6: The shoutbox is there for people to help you and they take their time to share info with you - I have never seen a site have people sitting around waiting to help newbies before! This site was awesome when I signed up and was kinda sitting there twiddling my thumbs because I wasn't sure where to go first, but the shoutbox announced I was a newbie and before I knew it I had 3 people offering me all kinds of tips and how to info!

PRO 7: Multiple accounts per household - This is a first of mine to be listed on here as a pro, but it is for a reason. When I first signed up they had a rule of 1 per household, now it has been changed to 1 per person. This means that if Tom and Sue are married and both want an account, they can both sign up! There is a requirement however, anytime 2 people at the same address sign up for an account, they will have to provide proof, such as a driver's license, that they are in fact a living person. But like I said, this is a pro, I know many people who have had to forego signing up for a good thing because of a restriction of 1 per household!

PRO 8: You can change from earning points to earning cash if you choose - Say you've been shopping online for a long time and don't want anything else from amazon (I doubt it will ever happen) then you would be able to switch from points to cash. This may not sound like a big deal, but it is. You would go from earning points that can only be used on amazon to earning cash that you can then request a check after you've gotten the minimum in your account. It's actually a very nice option.

Ok so now on to the cons, because we all know there has to be some:

CON 1: A lot of same offers from similar sites - Many offers are only allowed to be completed 1x per person, and if you really enjoy these kind of sites and have several accounts then it's likely you have come across some of the offers already and maybe have even completed them too. Sadly this will effect your ability to complete it on p2s. So use caution when doing offers, I always check around and make sure I'm getting the most points for an offer before completing it on any site. Remember that it's OK to "window shop" your points before completing an offer! I do it everyday!

CON 2: There aren't as many free offers as other sites have - Now this isn't really a con, so much as an inconvenience. But here's the deal, every site I have shown you and all the ones I've yet to show you have a niche. Swagbucks for example has the niche of rewards for searching the web and/or watching tv. ICS has the whole survey niche going on. P2s just doesn't have a niche like these guys. And to be honest I'm not really sure what their niche is, YET! But I know I will figure it out eventually! And then I will share it with you all!

So there's my review, not a lot of cons because this is one of the better sites that I've found! Again here's a referral code to get you started: http://www.points2shop.com/?ref=allpeachkitty   Hope to see you around p2s really soon!

Want another way to make your money go further? Try plink!

Hey there guys and gals! I hope that you all have had a great week and are enjoying the tips I've given so far in my past blogs!

So today's review is of a site called plink, it's a site that rewards you for using your designated shopping card at designated stores. They give you points and when you get enough you can get gift cards to make your money go further! It's kind of like a rebate, if you're trying to figure out how to describe it. Here is a referral code to get you started if you're looking to dive right in:  https://www.plink.com/index.cfm/main/homepage/refer/167178/aid/1264

PRO 1: Rewarded for shopping - If you're the type that likes to get rewards for shopping, this is definitely the site for you! As stated above, you get points for using your designated card at designated stores.

PRO 2: Very simple site - The site is a basic design, and it's very easy to navigate.

PRO 3: Several rewards - Ok, you will also see this in my cons list when I get to it, but for the pro aspect the rewards that are available there are 12 different types of rewards to use your points on, but they are promising to add more soon.

PRO 4: You can shop online or in store - Many of the rebate sites that exist will only give you credit for shopping when you start on their site and go to the merchant's site from your reward site. This is true for plink as well when it comes to online rewards, however they also offer the option of registering a card and then using it at the stores and/or restaurants you tell them you want to earn from. Then when you go to that store and use the designated card, you get the points! It's really a nice feature and in my opinion, it's what sets plink apart from the rest of the sites!

PRO 5: New scan a picture of receipt get points option - plink has just released a new promotion that they run (mostly for limited times and on VERY specific items) but they will send you an email about it before the promotion and then all you do is buy the item being promoted and take a picture of your receipt and email it to them, they give you the points! It's that easy!

Now on to the cons, because every site even the best sites will have some cons:

CON 1: Only 12 rewards - As this is in the pros as a pro because 12 different rewards is a good START, it is also a con when you are an avid rewards site person such as myself! I like my sites to offer at least 25 different options for rewards before I jump on the band wagon. However the reason I do promote this site and use it myself, is because they actually have rewards that I use. Sometimes you see when sites only have a few rewards it's because they are only affiliated with those few sites. However plink has a few but some are amazon, walmart and american eagle just to name a few.

CON 2: You have to register a credit or debit card - Now for a lot of people I know, this is a BIG draw back to any online site, when you have to share your credit card info it's a scary thing! BUT let me set your mind at ease. I've been a member of plink now for over a year and I have not seen any charges on my credit card that I have not put on. The reason you have to register your credit or debit card is because that is how they allow you to use your card in designated stores and get the points for doing so.

CON 3: They put a limit to how many points you can earn from each store - This can be a big draw back for a lot of people as well, if you spent the money, then you should be able to get the reward. This is true, but to me it is understandable as to why they have this limit. Since plink is not affiliated with the places they are offering points and/or rewards, they aren't getting a big kickback from those sites. How can they give us a kickback if they aren't getting the kickback. For this reason I understand the limit, BUT it still doesn't make it any easier to accept.

So there you have my review, I hope to see you guys next week for another review. Again if you are interested in signing up for plink and giving them a try, here is a referral code to get you started: https://www.plink.com/index.cfm/main/homepage/refer/167178/aid/1264

Have a baby? Why not earn free diapers and other baby products?

Hi readers! My review this week is for my readers with babies still in diapers, or small children. Pampers.com is a great site to go and sign up for a free account! Sign up today and receive 50 bonus points with the code JOINNOW4REWARDS.

PRO 1: Free membership - I LOVE a free site that will also give rewards! This is always a pro in my book!

PRO 2: Points for buying pampers products - If you have a baby in diapers you will find that you rack up the points quickly from this aspect!

PRO 3: Free points posted on their twitter feed - If you are on twitter you will find random free points posted there!

PRO 4: Reward types that parents can enjoy - The rewards are good for things from diaper coupons to shutterfly gift codes! It comes in handy since diapers are such a large portion of expenses for babies!

PRO 5: Lots of free advice on raising your baby - You know babies do not come with an instruction manual, but thanks to pampers, you can find lots of information and free advice on raising your baby.

Now on to the cons, because even the best sites do have some cons.

CON 1: Site is not the easiest to navigate - It can be hard to find your way around the site. Once you sign in it is easy enough to find where to put codes in, but to get your rewards it can be a little more difficult to find.

CON 2: Only a few different types of rewards - I normally prefer to have more rewards to choose from than what is offered on pampers. However that could have something to do with the fact that my daughter is no longer in diapers.

CON 3: If you wait for only the free points it will take a while to get any reward - This isn't so much a con as one might think. I signed up for pampers while my daughter was still in diapers and while she was in diapers I got many rewards and relatively quickly. However now that she is no longer in diapers and I am no longer buying diapers I don't accrue points as quickly. I only get the free points or the occasional codes from a baby shower gift that I purchase. It takes much longer to save enough points to get any rewards.

So there you have it, my review shows that this site is definitely worth your time and effort, especially if you have a baby in diapers. Even if your child is no longer in diapers, it can still be a rewarding site, it will just take a little longer to get that reward! Again here is a code to get you started: pampers.com sign up for gifts to grow and then enter code JOINNOW4REWARDS for 50 bonus points!

Swag what? Swagbucks!

I've been trying to contain myself in my excitement over this topic today, but I find myself bursting at the seams! I discovered swagbucks this time 2 years ago and at first was REALLY skeptical, but since I've been doing it for over 2 years now, I can tell you honestly, swagbucks IS worth the time you put into it!

Here's a referral code to get you started: http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/danhagg

Now I'm going to go ahead and jump right into all the GREAT opportunities there are with swagbucks!

PRO 1: Get rewarded for doing things on the internet that you probably were already doing anyway - Swagbucks will reward you for using their search engine, which will give you the same search results as other search engines, BUT you start at the swagbucks page 1st. They will reward you for watching swagTV which has many interesting channels, I prefer the cooking channel but they also have entertainment and music and even some original programs. They will reward you for taking surveys. They will even reward you for printing out coupons and redeeming them at your local grocery store!

PRO 2: Easy to use - This site is awesome because it is VERY user friendly! They WANT you to use it and get rewarded! They have it all set out so that all you have to do is sign in and you can start getting rewards quickly! Want to do a survey? Go over to the answer tab. Want to play a game? Go to the play tab. Want to watch swagTV? Go to the watch tab. It's all set up to be very easy to navigate!

PRO 3: FREE points just to sign up - You're gonna be SO happy that you signed up for an account with swagbucks, and they are going to be happy you are there too, so just as a welcome gift, swagbucks will give you FREE bonus points when you sign up! Now as I said it's been a while since I've signed up for my account, so I can't remember the exact amount they give you for signing up. However I think it's somewhere around 100, maybe even more! They give you points for adding a picture, inviting some friends from facebook, and installing their toolbar!

PRO 4: Swagcodes almost everyday - "What's a swagcode?" I bet you're asking. Well a swagcode is a string of characters (it could be a real or nonsensical word or a even phrase) that swagbucks puts out nearly everyday that is worth points. And again it's FREE! Somedays they even have swagcode events, where they put out several codes in a day!

PRO 5: Many different reward options in the swagstore - Now you may be wondering, "What do I do with all the points I get?" Well you go over to the swagstore and you cash them in on everything from greeting cards to baby items, from gift cards to electronics! They have TONS of different things you can cash in your points for!

PRO 6: Make the daily goal, get bonus points - Everyday swagbucks gives you a "mini challenge", if you will, and if you make the goal you will be awarded with bonus points for the day! Most days, with a little bit of time you can make that goal with little effort.

PRO 7: FREE swagbucks on your birthday - As if your birthday wasn't sweet enough from all the cards and presents and cake, swagbucks will send you a birthday email with 50 swagbucks in it, all you gotta do is confirm the email! SWEET!

Ok so that's my list of pros, but like everything in the world, there some cons, BUT for this site, there are only a few!

CON 1: Swagbucks can seem like they take a long time to accrue to any value - Sure you get points everyday for doing simple things like searching the internet, answering the daily poll, or using the toolbar, but the few points you get for these will take a while to accrue. The REAL value and potential of this reward site is in the Special Offers. The best part, you DO NOT have to spend any money to see your points add up quickly! There are many free special offers that you can do that will get you a lot of points, such as signing up for a credit card or doing a free trial of something.

CON 2: Prizes take a little while to be sent - Although this is listed as a con, it really is understandable. Swagbucks gets paid when we do an offer or buy something they promote, and in turn they give us a portion of the money they earn (after all we've done the work to get them the money, why shouldn't we be rewarded?) the thing is though, when you get enough points to cash out, you click on the item you want to redeem your points for, say a gift card to Amazon (my personal favorite), you use your points for the gift card, but it can take about 7-14 days to actually get the item from swagbucks. This is understandable to me because wouldn't you want to receive your credit from the company before paying out of pocket to get a prize for your customers?

So that sums up my swagbucks review! This is by far my favorite reward site because I've made the most money from them, AND they are the easiest to do!

Once again, the referral code to join: http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/danhagg

I hope to see you around swagbucks! I know if you join, you will NOT be disappointed!
